Strength training does not have to involve going to the gym or lifting weights. Join Jeanne for 3 weekly sessions of strength training instruction, designed to support your yoga practice and all the ways that you move in the world.
Strength training increases bone density, improves brain function, increases endorphins and enables more play in the body. Not only will you feel younger in your body and mind, but you will want to be more active in all areas of life. You can even take this practice into your living room!
Many of the poses we do in a yoga practice build strength and stamina in the body. But, yoga poses alone may not support the needs of the body. By the end of 3 weeks, you will feel stronger in your planks, push-ups, lunges and one-leg standing balances. The strength unfolds as we wake up the core, light up the limbs, and fire up the breath to create a feeling of holistic strength.
Jeanne has been involved with athletic strength training for 22 years and delivers complex, integrated and accessible movements to build overall strength and stamina in the body.
