Ahhhh, Fall. The season of letting go, cooling off and heading into the cold and dark of winter. This can be a lovely and refreshing time of year for some, but can also be a time where we have difficulty. The food, smells, family gatherings and hibernation can present challenges for our energy and our spirit, and may conjure some feelings of sadness and longing for the lighter days. It is during these times where we can gather in community, find some grounding and warming movement, all the while sharing stories and nutritious food. Take a day to pause and reflect on the upcoming season, and transition into the darkness with clarity and ease.
The yoga practices and activities are designed to (1) support the restoration of your nervous system, calming the mind and body; (2) to facilitate a reconnection with yourself before the darkness of winter and the harried holiday season; and (3) to rejuvenate your spirit so that you can be more aware and present in your life.
The retreat will include two yoga classes (one active practice in the morning and a restorative practice in the afternoon), meditation, nutritious and delicious lunch, optional hike and time to enjoy the beauty of nature.
